Parallel & Perpendicular

This morning I saw my squares and I instinctively thought of you. It seems every place I visit holds something to remind you. Every corner in my head is full of memories of you.

Those things you said yesterday, I can’t shake them off my mind. I don´t even know if I want them to go at all. I kept the paper bearing your drawings, and on the back I wrote your words, those powerful words that kept me thinking all night long…

“Imagine we´re these two lines, parallel lines in a plane, going in the same direction, always side by side, always together. This is how a relationship should be. But I´m afraid we´ll eventually become like these two lines over here. Perpendicular lines drawing further away from each other. Right now it´s OK, ´cause we´re in the exact intersection, but in time, we´ll grow distant..”

Stiffness took over me, as I stood there frozen, not knowing what to say. All I could manage to say at the time was “Ok.. I love you”. But there were plenty of things I meant to tell you. I wrote them all here so I wouldn´t forget them..

“We´re not lines, we´re planes, two planes that overlapped each other, on continuous intersection. Every point upon you is fixed upon me as well. There´s nothing like this built today.Ours is an architectural love…”
